Salmon is the key building block of the eco-system in the North West Pacific Coast. Live salmon sustain a variety of large sea and land mammals – including a vibrant sports and commercial fishing industry. Dead salmon feed Bald Eagles and many other organisms – including the trees of the rain forest.

Back in Vancouver we take you along some of the fabulous beaches and though Vancouver’s oldest residence district – the West End.

In Chinatown discover the city’s Asian heritage. One third of Vancouver’s population speaks either Mandarin or Cantonese. If it’s a weekday, we end the trip with a visit to the Marine Building, Vancouver’s office building with the most lavishly decorated lobby.
